How Clean Is The Inside of Your Car?

How clean is the inside of your car? Allergy season is here, and experts say the chances of setting off allergic reactions inside a car are greater than at your home or workplace because there is less air volume.

What can you do to prevent bacteria from forming in your car? Spilling a cup of coffee or food in your car without properly cleaning it up can leave mold spores and bacteria. Make sure to clean up after spills and keep surfaces dry, especially carpets and cup holders.

Having a box of disinfecting wipes handy and wiping off the dashboard, steering wheel and cup holders regularly will help keep your car clean. Cabin air filters a feature found on most vehicles can also keep pollutants out of your car. Cabin air filters are on the intake side of the air conditioning system and they can extract pollen, soot and dust from entering the vehicle. Check with you manufacturer to see how often you should change the filter to keep the air inside you vehicle at it cleanest.
